i am having nonproductive contractions and dilated to a "loose 1" but doctor won't induce untill i am OVER DUE. Is there anything I can do to help bring on stronger labor contractions?
I have tried sex, castor oil, and walking but nothing seems to be working.

I'm in the same boat you are and I'm 40wks as of today. I have tried everything I can possibly think of and the contractions just aren't doing anything for me. You could try Castor oil but I hear it causes more yuck sickness pain then help you go into labor. You could try having sex stimulating your nibbles, walking, and doing cleaning around the house. Other then that it's all pretty much up to baby when he or she wants to be born. Just hang in there I know how you feel and trust me I'm ready to have baby. Congratulations and take care.

Well I have heard from many people that all of the things you have tried didn't work from them either. I know you don't want to hear it because I don't either, but the baby will come when he/she is ready. I have tried everything short of castor oil this pregnancy to no avail. I am scheduled for a c-section in 9 days due to a previous section. Hang there. . .I'm right there with you. . .it will all be over with soon!! Good luck!! ; )

Hot food...or perhaps raspberry leaf tea??
How about going up and downstairs...might sound very silly but gravity is a powerful thing!
im presuming you must be almost 40 weeks??
Good luck to you hun!

I know all about those contractions. I had them every 5 minutes for several weeks. You've tried everything I would have suggested. It seems you're just going to have to wait it out. I know it sucks. But your baby is almost here!

If you have a yoga ball try "squating" on it and rolling your hips around the gravity and pressure will help ease the baby down and put pressure on your cervix.
