Heavy Beatles Songs

"Helter Skelter"

Here's the history, to my knowledge, of why it is heavier than all other Beatles songs:

It was around the beginning of The Who's career. They had the loudest, most reckless, ear-splitting concerts ever (side note, The Who still hold the record for loudest concert ever).

The Beatles, after witnessing the heaviness of The Who's sound, decided to create a heavy song also. It was an experiment for them, to see if they can create a song just as heavy as The Who's early work.

Either Helter Skelter or Revolution (b side version). Having said that, their version of Twist & Shout was probably the loudest and most raucous recording ever made up to that point in time. Listen to the stereo version using Pro-logic on a surround sound sytem and crank the volume up!

Not being funny (honest), I would say it's Twist and Shout. It sprang straight to mind when I read your question.
