Wow - you got quite a bad lib barrage on your truthful question! Of course - it's because lib's are in denial of the war on terrorism and think 9/11 was an inside job and that the US is asking to be attacked. Nevermind that the terrorists would just as soon behead them (lib's) as the next person. Rock on!

When I vote for a president I expect a job well done. No excuses for the buck stops at the supreme commander. Public opinion is a real good indicator of the kind of job the current administration is doing. Think about it, americans react way to late as a rule and when the public gets pissed off it is to late. The whole war is not solving the world view and people that are out to cause us harm just have to wait till we run out of money to stop them. Move in next door to you who thinks we have done all we could.

I will admit that he thinks he has done everything in his power to that end, but he has also expanded the powers of the office unnecessarily. He has created a situation where a president could become a virtual dictator for an extended period of time without Congressional oversight. He has endorsed domestic spying and fostered a situation where an American could conceivably be stripped of their rights and jailed indefinitely by merely being labeled a terrorist by the government. You can kid yourself if you like here. Mr. Bush may be doing what he feels is right and you may agree with that, but the broad powers afforded in relation to several acts to the government could easily become a tool of complete oppression in the wrong hands. It always leaves me wondering how the supporters of all these so called safety measures will feel when someone they don't like takes office.

Security is but a temporary illusion, but freedoms lost are lost forever.

Because he hasn't. His war in Iraq has made every Arab country hate us even more. It has become a recruiting tool for terrorist organizations.

He has done nothing to build American infrastructure, road ways, levees, schools and public transportation systems have not gotten the funding they need.

You need to realize that keeping Iraqis from killing Iraqis has far less impact on "the American way of life" then the rotting of our infrastructure. What would effect your life more, a school burned down in abu abu or having the interstate that you take to work closed down?

You need to define what the "American way of life" really means.

BTW If Bush supports "protecting" us so much, way doesn't the Patriot Act even mention the US- Mexico border while the US-Canadian border plan is completely covered?

It doesn't matter.... they are still crying about the 2000 election... They just can't get the taste of defeat out of their mouths... 50 years from now they will *still* be blaming all their faults on George Bush.

It's hard for some of us to admit it because waterboarding is a difficult experience to endure.

All kidding aside, the majority of Americans do not think Bush is doing a good job in the war on terror.

9/11.

How come the Republicans keep saying that Bush has kept us safe since 9/11? Granted, he screwups only allowed one terrorist attack through, but it was a biggy.

How many Americans died on America soil due to terrorist attacks while Bill Clinton was in charge?
