I'm a "mere lass" of only 69 years. And yes, still have me wits about me. Yahoo Q and A helps that, I believe. I'm not any smarter than at age 20, but have much more information and experience filed away to work with, so I can "connect the dots" faster than when I was a youngster. Can't move quite as fast physically perhaps, but I manage okay. Curiosity is one of my better qualities, so I never do get bored. And that's a real blessing!

I am only 51 and I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but yet I have learned a lot over my short years. I do live alone now and have lived alone for about 2 years. I am for sure smarter than I was at 20, that is why I live alone now, lol. If I knew at 20 what I know now, I would be a lot better off now. I know a lot of people would say the same thing about that, but my reason is different than theirs would be I am sure.

I'm 72. Still have most of my wits about me. Most of my friends are a few years younger than I am but we know how to have a good time still. I don't know if I'm smarter than at 20 but I have accumulated a lot of information, some good and a lot of useless trivia. One good thing about being older is that a person has a lot of time to watch baseball and other sports that interest them. Even to participate in some. A lot of my bowling friends play on a regular summer baseball team.
My father is 95 and one of the nicest things I ever heard about him came from my 10 year old grandson. He met him for the first time this year and told me "Your dad is cool!". He is too. He can still joke around in spite of his aches and pains.

The oldest I know of here is 72, but I'm sure there is someone older. I guess they would be a lot smarter at that age than 20,
as we all here are. Life's experience give you that wisdom.

Don't 'cha just love everybody on this site, they're so witty and wise. Yes, they are many years smarter than they were at twenty and have years more experience at life. They're a really grand bunch.
Really makes me look forward to the next few decades.

Perhaps I may qualify? I am 70 years old and was born in 1937 on a hot August afternoon. I still work 4 days a week of 9/10 hours a day. Up to 18 months ago I was working 6 days a week but found it very tiring. I live alone and do all my cleaning, ironing and cooking. I served as a Regular Soldier and I was a class 1 radio operator ( Para) I had completed 14 jumps during my Service and 5 of them were at night. I lived through the WW2 and our house suffered from Bomb and incendiary damage. Many happy memories of my child hood and school days.I married at 19 years of age and had 4 children. unfortunately I lost my wife after 15 years of marriage. I enjoy the internet and I am still learning more about it every day.

I saw a person on here the other day that said they were in their 80's, so they'd have me beat by nearly 30 yrs. lol
My mom is 72 and she loves her computer, she's much more savvy at it than I am. She's always been smart and is still learning all the time. I look forward to the new things I learn each day too.

I'm not the oldest but have my wits. I don't always remember but it's usually from lack of consideration, always in a hurry. As for education, I believe I am smarted then I was just from life experience, learning from people, and reading.
