Do control top panty hose work that good?

It depends on how much support you need. If you do not need a lot of "control" then they work well. If you may need a little more help in that department (as many people do), try something like "Spanx". They are truly the most wonderful product I've ever used, and I've tried many "control" items. I drop a full size in my Spanx.

If you need just light support, yes. I used to wear support panty hose all of the time, when I was working, the little extra support, helped my legs also.
