So, I'm one of those unfortunate folks for whom Gwen has a cape and flute even though I never gave her a cape or flute. In order to get her to give me a Tapestry Shred, I need to give her a lot of iris flowers, or so I assume.

Here's the thing, though-- over the course of a week or so I've given her upward of 40 flowers. Just today, I gave her 23. Do I have to give her 30+ all at once? Or is there no way to get the shred without giving her the cape and flute?

Alternately, does anyone who doesn't have eotn have a shred they can sell me? I swear on my honor, it doesn't do anything except in eotn~

I assume you haven't partied with anyone? Here's the deal. If someone else has already giving her the cape, flute, flowers, whatever. This wrecks yours chances of getting a tapestry shred if you join their party in Pre-searing. Which I assume you did party with someone because it doesn't take that many flowers to get the Tapestry Shred. Best bet is to create another character, get the shred, go to post searing and put in storage. Then delete that character. Now you'll have Tapestry Shred in post you can retrieve when you leave Pre-Searing with your other character.

You might want to start a new player real quick.

If you create a new character, you could rush through the intro and be in post-burning in about an hour. Once there, buy the storage and store it, then delete off the new character. The tapestry shards are transferable, or at least they where.
