Best Picture:
Atonement - No other movie has gotten such critical praise (gotta admit I didn't see it).
No Country for Old Men - It's coming out at the time of the year and is a Coen Brothers picture (which usually equeals Oscar nomination).
American Gangster - I really liked this and it has two former Oscar winners.
* 3:10 to Yuma - Great western and a great performance by Christian Bale
Michael Clayton - Personally hated it, but Hollywood loves George Clooney

Best Actor:
Christian Bale - 3:10 to Yuma
Johnny Deep - Sweeny Todd
George Clooney - Michael Clayton
* Matt Damon - Bourne Supremacy
Denzel Washington - American Gangster

Best Actress:
Nikki Blonsky - Hairspray
Waitress - Keri Russel
* Keira Knightley - Atonement
Angelina Jolie - A Mighty Heart
Jennifer Connelly - Reservation Road

This is no way who I think should be nominated, just who I think will be.

The only decent movies have been 300 and Ratatouille (very sad). Transformers could win for special effects, but if it wins Best Picture, it'll be ridiculous and wrong; same with Pirates of the Caribbean. I am looking forward to seeing No Country for Old Men, which looks promising; maybe that'll be up there.
