I am about 4 weeks pregnant and swallowed a skittle whole. Will it effect anything?

no you'll be fine your body will digest it normally. as long as you werent oxygen deprived then youll be fine

The pain comes from a strong muscular reaction, probably near the sphincter at your stomach entrance. Your stomach is fine. The acids will take care of it. Something like a hot dog doesn't have to be thoroughly chewed. Have you ever seen a hot dog eating contest? If you swallowed a sharp piece of bone, however, you can get small lacerations on your intestinal organs. But, that's very unlikely with a hot dog and would probably heal by itself anyway. If you have ulcers, that's completely different, and you should see a doctor (I only say that because you say it's recurrent). But, no, there's nothing really to worry about.

If you can still breathe... you will be fine. If you coughed it up or not, the baby will not even know that you ate much less the fact you were disturbed by it. When I was pregnant, I had cravings for chicken wings. I was told the sauce would hurt my daughter and nothing happened. The body has a way of making things work out.

LOL! no it won't cause any problems. It will just get digested as anything else would. Please don't worry so much or your going to be in big trouble later on in your pregnancy. I would suggest reading up on pregnancy and how your body changes just to make sure nothing stresses you out during the next 36 weeks or you will be in for a lot of surprises! Good luck!

no it will not cause problems it will go into your stomach whole the baby is not in your stomach, not to mention it is food. now if you swallowed posion...

No, it won't affect anything. It will be digested, you swallow pills whole don't you? They get digested in your system. You will be fine! :)
