The guy gets suspended twice in the playoffs last year, for a grand total of 2 games, both for cheap shot hits. Then this year deserves the one game suspension for an instigator penalty, and has it rescinded by the league. For a guy with a history of cheap shots, why does he continue to get a free pass and not viewed as and suspended like, the thug he is?

Pronger is a dinosaur, he's slow and a plodder, he can't play in the new NHL of speed and finesse.
How many times did Datsyuk and Zetterburg blow by him in the playoffs last year.
If he can't hook and spear and hold up players he's useless.
He is a good passer though.
Yet when you listen to sportscasters he is the almighty defenceman. Just goes to show if they talk a guy up enough others believe it.

I dont see how anyone can say he is great, and a star. He is a hack, withi a big shot. His style of D, is slash first, pay the price later. I had to watch that chode play when he was a Blue, and he was the same way. Now, he is just slower, and dirtier. Now since the leagues little pets, the Ducks, got their cup, they can now put their focus, and the Pengos, where Gary roberts will get away with murder.

Because one Handzus was wrong in shooting the puck at Giguere, well aware that the period was over and was just trying to get attention. Secondly the play wasn't even an instigation Pronger was roughing Handzus around until HANDZUS dropped the gloves and then the fight insued, the only reason Pronger got an instigator was because of how badly he beat up Handzus.

It's politics really, The league knows he puts people in stands (how he does it i dont know) Bettman for cares more for expanding the league and not about improving the game. The real test for the league will come once he does give out cheap shots and injures someone. See if the league sticks to what they started this year with downie or will let him play...either way his conduct isnt impressive, glad to see him out of canada atleast!

This is true but it is the league's determination. A lot of star players get the star treatment and that means they aren't punished in the same ways as other players. He is a star, what can I tell you? He is also a great player who makes a lot of cheap and dangerous shots at other players.... When his skills slow down and he loses power then he will either get his *** kicked and/or get heavier suspensions... for now, he's the king. That's life in the jungle.

I HATE the man with a passion(sharks fan, that really went unsaid), but I have to admit hes good. He can hook and slash and trip as much as he wants, but the zebras wont call it!!! Trust me, I see him play the Sharks 8 times a year and he makes me want to break into the TV and kick his @$$. But I cant and the refs arent helping so...what are you going to do
Anyways, I doubt I could fight Chris Pronger and win. But I;m a girl, so it would be low to fight back. lol

He doesn't get to do what he pleases - ask his wife! The problems he ran into in Edmonton was because he tried to do what he pleased - then his wife found out!
