I am 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and two nights ago after having sex for the first time in two weeks I was having contractions every five minutes for four hours. I finally fell asleep and when I woke up they stopped. They felt like braxton hicks, but were consistent. Now two days later I'm back to feeling pretty normal but am now having braxton hicks about once every two hours compared to the usual of every four hours. Does this mean I'm getting close to delivery.

It is very common to have Braxton Hicks contractions this far along in your pregnancy. Plus, sex can create these contractions too....very normal. Your body is getting ready for labor but I think you still could be preggo until your due date. Good luck!!!

braxton hicks are basically practise contractions preparing your body for labour. if they are fairly uncomfortable call your hospital or midwife they may want to take you in to check you over as even at nearly 35 weeks its still a little early for your baby to be born. You could be getting close to labour but with my first baby I had braxton hicks at 28 weeks that lasted for 3 days and i still went 3 days past my due date!

It just means you're farther along in your pregnancy. You'll get contractions after sex, and you'll get more intense and more frequent braxton hicks as you go along too.
Just be sure to relax and not over do it. You're not far enough a long for a healthy baby yet.
