Whoever is doing that should be castrated and left to rot somewhere. There is no excuse in that. Eleven you said? I hope that is a theoretical question.

Want a little truth with your story?
The parents were aware of the birth control being given out, they had to sign permission for their kids to be treated in school and they knew of the program.
If 11 year old kids are having sex, you bet I want them not to have babies.
The school also has kids up to 14, and there were eleven pregnancies in the last three years.
Now if you are asking a hypothetical question, where no one knew, no one had sex, and no one got pregnant, you would get a resounding no from me.
But in the real world, I'd go for the condoms and pills.
Much better than some young kids getting pregnant.
In the real world, I'd also drop those worthless purity abstinence classes, and teach a scientific sex ed class with an emphasis on protection from disease, and pregnancy.

If I am good enough of a parent why would my kid feel the need to have sex at that age? If they still want to experiment I would rather be safe than sorry. There are girls of 8 year of age that have their periods they can conceive by experimenting at 11. It is sad that children want to grow up so fast having all the opportunities in the world but i don't find it immoral. i find it smart.
My grnadmother and girls of her age were married by their father at 12 and 13... thank god times have changed but if they had protection their responsabilities life etc would have been a little bit easier.

I remember seeing the the American Council of Catholic bishops met to discuss what to do about priests that they discovered were having sex with children.
Why did they have a meeting?
I know what to do......CALL 911!!!
Hellloooooooo it's a criiiiiiiimmmmmmmeee.
It is criminal activity that must be reported to the authorities immediately.
If an 11 year old child is having sex, IT IS A VIOLATION OF THE LAW.
Nobody is supposed to be having sex with an 11 year old.
CALL THE PARENTS RIGHT AFTER YOU CALL THE POLICE!
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE????
It is against the law and school policy to even dispense a tylenol to a student, regardless of age. How can they rationalize dispensing a prescription that lasts a whole month?????
I'm sorry. I just don't get this one.

It's not great, but better than having the child end up pregnant, isn't it? It would be super if all parents were able and willing to talk to their kids about sex, but if they're not and the kids are sexually active, the kids should have options. 11 is too young to become pregnant!
Ken M: I agree, it's like the Republicans saying that UHC will make waiting times endless for procedures and the care will get terrible. It isn't true, but they think if they say it enough and loud enough, everyone will think it's true. Sad, really.

I think it is dangerous for the child. If the parents don't know what Prescription medication their children are taking how can they know what is happening if they have an allergic reaction to it. Women have an increased chance of heart problem and cancer that can be linked to them being on the pill. If I give my child a Flintstones chewable vitamin C and they put it in their pocket and take it to school they will get kick out for 3 days due to the drug free policy's of the school. But the school can put my 11 year old on a medication that can cause cancer and strokes and it is OK? I don't think so.

the same thing i think about 11 year olds having sex behind their parents backs.
believe it or not more and more young girls around this age are participating in sexual activities. i am tired of seeing pregnant 13 yr olds. and it's obvious that if they are that young and having sex their parents aren't doing a good job anyway. so if an 11 yr old is fending for herself in this life without parental guidance, i will be more than happy that she wants to make the right choice to protect herself with birthcontrol and condoms.

If they are having sex behind their parents' backs maybe they should. The parents obviously don't give a darn what their kids do. They let the kids do what they want for fear of being not a friend or loved by their kid. The only thing Dr. Spock's book was good for was smacking a brat with.

I think it's wrong and if it were my children receiving this I would do everything in my power to prevent it. Sex at 11 does happen, but it's so wrong on so many levels. Normally humans wouldn't even be capable of sex at 11, it's just that with all the growth hormones in food, kids physically grow up faster than they can mentally keep up.

1st of all hit the spell check button, works great for me,lol. As for your question, it is a outrage they can give them birth control pills but for you to give them medicine you need a act of god.Hillary came out in support of it saying parents do not do a good enough job with there kids. I think the real reason she is in favor of it is she is afraid Bill might knock one of them up

WHERE ARE THESE SO CALLED PARENTS WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE TALKING TO THEIR KIDS ABOUT THE BIRDS AND THE BEES, MORALITY, AND BEING RESPONSIBLE is a better question.
I was 8 when I had "the talk" with my mother, and I waited until I was 18 and in love. I'm still with that person too!!
