easy way to pull transmission in 87 blazer?

ive done one but let somebody else finish it,buti am doing this one myself,what is the easyist way to pull the tranny

Is this a k or an s series? Why does it need pulled? The easiest is to just get started and take a few notes and pictures if need be.
