That is a valid question. Probably so!

I am not sure what you mean by your question. I will say a poor man can't become president as it takes so much to advertise etc., but neither can you buy the office unless you have something to offer, for example: John Kerry with his wife's big money and Ross Perot with his millions. People still pick people with charm, personality, wit, looks and a good message. With the media plastering your picture on every form of picture device, I think it would be almost impossible to get elected if you were ugly, unless your opponent was just as unsightly.

I think the beginning of the media having control over elections was the Kennedy administration. (I'm in no way bashing him). That was the first election that seemed to use certain lighting and other tactics within the media and PR (and style) to gain popularity amongst voters.

Incredible isn't it? The last real election was when Ronald Reagan won by landslide and the popular vote counted. Just incredible. The Clinton's f**ked it up with electronics, GWB took it from there. Be optimistic, we might be able to turn this around, there is still hope. Don't vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton and we might stop the BS.

Yes, the media, and the elite control the election, no the people, we learned that in 2000 when the supreme court took the vote from the people. They did it once they will do it again.

You really need to get a reality check. The votes WERE recounted. My brother was part of those recounts. He is an ultra-lib "journalist" who could not WAIT to tell the world that Gore really won.

He was disappointed to inform me that every scenario had Bush still winning the election, INCLUDING the illegal and selective recount that Gore wanted. Only one had Gore narrowing the gap...by SIX votes.

And by the way, with our liberal media, if Gore would have won a recount it would have been all over every front page in the WORLD. As it were, only a few reported the independent recount, and even they hid it way back in the paper.

True conservative...my @$$...only liberals believe that crap about Bush "stealing the election" especially in the face of FACTS!

The Republicans rigged the last two elections. It looks like
they won. Let's hope the last real election hasn't happened,
but you may be right.
