i think it might be fractured right now, im not sure.
if u read my other question, you would know what i am talking about.

i want to break it. because, as messed up as it is, i think putting it in a cast would make it feel batter. i know there could be complications, but to me, its worth it. i want a cast so i can fix it & it wouldnt hurt so bad.

what are some simple ways u broke ur wrist or someone u know broke theirs? or just some ways? please help

i dont like the whole "brick to your wrist" idea. it would be kind of hard to explain to my parents how a brick "fell" on my wrist

&no im not crazy & dont need to be institutionalized

ps; im a 13 year old girl [14 in a month & 3 days] idk if that matters

Savannah, can I share my experience with you? I don't think you're crazy. Ten years ago, I broke my left wrist - both bones, all the way through - in a fall. The pain didn't let up for 8 weeks; I cried every morning I was in so much pain and so scared the bones wouldn't heal right. (It's a myth that once you're in a cast you're out of pain. That's only true sometimes.) Trying to do anything - like get dressed with one hand (zippers and buttons were a nightmare) and personal hygiene was very difficult. I couldn't fix my hair or open a jar of food or my makeup. After 8 weeks in a cast, I had to do physical therapy 3x a week for months so I would regain the movement and use of my hand. It was very, very difficult. And lonely. Last year, I broke my other arm and my wrist ... and although both eventually healed, the fractures triggered an incurable neurological disorder called RSD. It's terribly painful; your nervous system goes haywire. It can spread all over your body and put you in a wheelchair within a year. I was "lucky" - mine only spread to my hands and one foot. The reason I say all this is to share a little bit of what a broken bone can be like. There are many delicate bones in the hand, and a fracture means swelling that could lead to lifelong, painful arthritis. A friend of mine broke her wrist and it didn't set right (the doctor's fault, she thinks). Anyway, that was 15 years ago and she has to do exercises 2x a day for the rest of her life ... just to keep everything flexible and functioning. There are fractures, and then there's lifelong disability, and there's no guarantee which you'll have. If I can spare just one person the agony a fracture can cause, I'll answer this question every time someone posts it. I wish you the very best.

If you think it's fractured, go to the doctor or hospital and get an x-ray. A fracture is the same thing as a break, by the way. If this isn't an option, go to the store and buy a brace for your wrist. That should help with the pain.

You don't want to purposly break your risk as you might wind up needing surgery to repair it and then never have full use of it again. Since your wrist is bothring you now get it checked by a doc to find out what is wrong. If your parents won't take you to the doc then ask an older adult or relative to take you and get it checked out. DO NOT try to break it worse than it might already be as pins in the wrist are NOT FUN and not having full movement pluse pain 24/7 for the rest of your life is not fun either. My dad can tell you that one for a fact.

I would highly suggest not breaking your wrist. If it is in a considerable amount of pain now and you think that it may be fractured, you should go to a doctor and have it x-rayed. THe doctor will determine what is best for it. Breaking it yourself would do the most damage and the bones probably would not heal anywhere near properly. Do yourself a favor and make a doctor's appointment.

I don't think you're crazy, but I am worried. Are you avoiding something? I used to hate the daily humiliation that was gym class SO MUCH that I'd wish I could break my ankle.

HOWEVER - I don't think that's the best solution for you. The best is to go to your doctor and get an x-ray done. If it is broken or fractured they will cast or splint it for you, and perhaps give you something for pain.

Do NOT try and break it! You could do serious long-term damage.

You do not want to break your wrist if it isn't broken already. You can go to Wal-Mart and purchase a brace to hold your wrist in place, like a cast would do. They come in all different sizes so you can try them on to see which fits and helps you to feel better. The long term problems of breaking a joint are more then you can imagine.

free fall backwards and catch yourself with your hands. But i must warn you, you might get more than you bargained for. Just tell the doctor you want a cast, and dont take no for an answer. gees, its not that hard.
