Abba scored a big hit back in the 1970s with the song 'Super Trouper'. My question for all lovers of pop trivia is this. (Yes I do know the answer). What is a 'Super Trouper'?

I'm still performing in a rock n roll band even though I'm now 60 years old. The Super Trooper is the largest spotlight that is usually used to highlight someone, generally the main singer. The others are just 'spotties' as we call them. and often come in colours, red, yellow, green and blue. The Super Trooper often is moveable and follows whoever it is focused on around the stage. As my band has five members we usually have it just set on 'spread' so we are all in it. Sometimes our drummer plays a solo and it is then focused on him with the rest of us in darkness.

A super trooper is a brand line of spotlights. They come in many flavors, but all of them have one thing in common, they are an industry standard that are made from Strong Entertainment lighting. They are the brand that all other spotlights are held to, and are the most requested spotlights for live entertainment. The ones that are used for events at you local arena are very big (they take 4 people to lift) and require alot of power (220V, the same as you dryer at home) and have a separate power supply that is heavy as well.
