I acctually think this is a good idea and could work. I could come in handy because we cannot rely on a 2 HR guy like Andy Phillips any longer. What are your comments

I think it's a great idea. Imagine the Yankee infield if it happens. Funny how a few of the Red Sox fans have given their nonchalant attitude about possibly losing him but we Yankee fans no better.

Let the Red Sox fans have their moment of glory because in the end the Yankees will prevail.

With A-Rod and Rivera all but signed and the possibility of landing Lowell and Santana, I'd say the 2008 season could prove to be extremely interesting. "27" could be right around the corner!!

It would be a good idea if Lowell likes the idea himself. He's a pretty good defensive infielder but switching positions rubs some people the wrong way. Like to see this one play out for the Yankees.

Its a good idea since I am a die hard Yankees fan and whatever the Yankees can do to make the rivalry even more bitter with the Redsox is great but he would only be good for the short run about 3-4 years which is what we need right now to help win a championship back to the Bronx.

Go ahead. Give him 4 years too. Sure worked out w/ Johnny Damon, Mark Belhorn, Mike Myers & Alan Embry. Give it another shot and tie up another $60 mil...the Yankees sure love that luxury tax. I love that all the Yankees & their fans care about is stupid stuff like this. IN Boston we care about winning another World Series and if that means losing Mike Lowell and getting someone like Miguel Caberea than that's what we'll do. Enjoy!

I love the idea of stealing another player from Boston. I think he'd be a good fit.

I'm for it.

Havta be honest...I've lived in Boston for 28 years...if you took lowell, just to sit him on the bench for 162 games it would be worth the money just to take him from boston...good luck man.

I think Lowell is fine where he's at 3rd Base, so it ain't going to happen.
