being in a IR relationship myself, I feel the beauty of such IR relationships should be shown amongst other couples on the commercials.

Because they have to appeal to the masses and although it is acceptable to be in an interracial relationship, it is not the norm.

Last statistic I saw on attitudes toward IR was there nearly 30% of Americans disapproved.

Even though that's a small minority, as a business, they don't want to offend that many people.

That's my guess. (I saw that statistic in comparrison with one from the 1950s in which a whopping 87% disapproved. What a change in one generation, eh?)

eHarmony's policies are ultra conservative. If you haven't completed your divorce you will be rejected. If you don't meet they're acceptable level of happiness you are rejected. There are people who can't figure out why the were rejected by eHarmony.

I don't think eHarmony fully approves of interracial relationships.

Most commercials IF they show an IR couple its usually white male/asian female or were you specifically looking for some other pairing.

huh. you know, i never realized that, but that's true...you know they deny some people if they say "no thanks" when asked if they would appear in one of the commercials. im a white guy, and my GF is black, and im perfectly fine with that. my parents, grandparents and society aren't as open as me though. it's a matter of the ages. it's a "zeitgeist" if you will.
