I was listening to the radio where a song called Letter to Me by Brad Paisley come on. It got me wondering.

If you could write a letter to your 15 year old self and send it back in time to them what would you say?
(it doesn't have to be personal its just for fun)

I know in the song It is 17 but I am 15 so I am using my age.

This is mostly for adults Not for people to joke and say "i'll tell you when I am 15"

Dear Younger Mikah

Don't worry. High school will soon be over and things will get better. There is a life out there for you. Don't listen to your so-called friends. They are hurting you. Please eat. I know you don't love yourself, but I love you very much.

All the devotion in the world

LOL I love this question!!!

Dear 15-year old Stefanie:

1. He just isn't that into you
2. The pretty girls and popular girls will not matter to you in 10 years
3. Study harder
4. You are not too good to work at McDonald's
5. Mom and Dad actually know what they are talking about
6. Your little sister is annoying but remember that she is looking up to you so you had better be setting a good example
7. Your high school teachers can serve as great references for college and future careers; stay in touch
8. Stick with it; no matter what it is and how bad you hate it
9. Math is not as important as being well spoken and well written (this is arguable, I know - but I spent too much of my time trying to figure out things I'd never use. I just don't have that math gene)
and
10. Shush. Gossip hurts. Don't say negative anything.

I am 48 years old and have many, many regrets.
A letter to myself at 15 would say:
Don't wait to go to college.
Save your money.
Don't drink and drive.
Don't smoke.
When you see a pretty girl, ask her for a date and don't worry about her saying no.
The people that today you think are cool are going to disappoint you someday, and the people you think are silly are the ones you will someday admire.

You have asked a great question. I'm looking forward to how others respond. I hope the young people will learn from the mistakes of the people who have gone before them.

Wow - what a great question! I'd give you 10 points just for the question!

I'd tell myself a lot of things...like listen to your parents because they always, always have your best interest in mind and there's not much you could experience that they haven't already experienced too.

I'd tell myself not to settle for anything less than the truest and purest love, and not to get discouraged, because even if it takes a little while, he will find you. And when he does, you will know it like you know your own name.

I'd tell myself that sorrows don't drown, they float.

And I'd tell myself about the value of freedom here in the U.S.A. and how it's important to thank a service person when you see them, because they'd be willing to take a bullet in the brain for you, and they don't even know your name.

Writing to a 'past self" is interesting, but a much more fruitful task is to write to your future self. That is, every year on a particular date (possibly your birthday) write a letter to your future self. Explain your worries, immediate concerns and recent accomplishments.
Then, each year just before you again write that new letter to your future self, read all the past letters that you have previously written.

You're going to have a blast. Honest! The awkwardness is going to go away, and you're actually going to become a pretty competent, attractive adult. Oh, and dump James now, he's no good (but if you don't, you'll be so graceful when it all goes wrong that he'll probably wish he was never a d**k to you.) And hold out for a very lovely boy called Daniel. You'll find him where you least expect to...

I would write and say 'Be careful Phoebes, I know you think you have your life ahead of you and that you can fulfill all your dreams and ambitions and that your sister falling pregnant this year has made you even more determined but just watch what you're doing. Don't drink and don't have holiday flings because your life 'lacks excitement'. Stick with your boyfriend who loves you very much and work hard.'...I found out I was pregnant a couple of days after my 16th birthday

That's a very interesting question i may give u a star after repleying.
I would basically just say to myself work harder in school, because all i did was muck around. I did come away with a couple of GCSE'S after leaving school, as i only started working hard during the last couple of months of my last year and I just wish i could have tryed harder rather going out every night with my freinds with not a care in the world! lol xx

im 26.
id say that your never as old as you think you are, or fear you are. when your 19, 20 21, 22 and so on you feel like, 'wow, im 20, i need to start acting it!' sure you do, but 20 aint 40 and there is plenty of time to make mistakes and recover from them. however, there is not plenty of time to put things off for later. do it when you have the chance. i say that for all my friends who never made it to 26.
id say you dont know anything about something the first time you do it and only a little bit more the second time. so dont think you have it all figured out, but keep trying to figure it!
id also say when you find that slice of pepperoni pizza in your friends fridge when you're 17 dont eat it! its not good man, its not good!!

Dear 15-yr old Erica,
I'm sorry you suffered with glasses and braces,
And being forced to go to an all-girls high school.
But don't worry...you are going to go to school in TX for a year and have the time of your life, and you will realize that you are indeed beautiful...despite what those stupid kids say about you now!
