AgI is a slightly soluble salt and it will precipitate

2HNO3 + CO32- >> H2O + CO2(g) + 2NO3-
no precipitation would occur

AgI(s) + NO3-

No precipitate. Co(NO3)2 is water-soluble.

You have to memorize the insoluble substances
