Honda shadow spirit 750 (shaft drive,liquid cooled,$6,700)
Yamaha v star 650 ( shaft drive,air cooled, $6,100)
Suzuki S50 ( liquid cooled,shaft drive, $6,400)

You have them in the right order in my opinion /I never meet anybody that bought the Honda Shadow that wasn't satisfied

I think Honda and Yamaha (Star) are the best cruisers. When I think of Suzuki, I think of dirt bikes and street bikes. The Boulevard line (with the exception of the 109) is pretty anemic. You can't beat Honda for reliability and resale value.

Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki - in order of build quality. Not much difference between Yamaha Suzuki, buy the one you like after riding them all!

I would get V star...air cooled = less things to worry about and cheapest.
