These are outward appearances that people cannot change. It will never happen.I'm sorry to say that our country is not progressive enough to vote for a woman and a black man, yet. It would have to be one or the other. Many people still continue to use gender and color as excuses for discrimination. They do so because they can see the color of one's skin,or most times can tell a person's gender and then cast aspersions.Although there have been many strides concerning discrimination against women and people of color, these two groups continue to experience set-backs.It is because of this practice, that the two could never be on the same ticket for these positions and win.I love Hillary and think she will be a wonderful President.I being a woman of color, like Obama and some of his positions, but know he simply is not electable at this time.I love America and we deserve a better president than the one we've had the past 7 years. When I see and hear Bush and this administration I feel so hopeless and deceived. We can't afford to lose in '08.Hope needs to be restored in America and the world. Hillary will be that President.Asker...please don't be offended by the insults some will hurl towards you or your question.Someone said it better than I."Forgive for they no not what they do..."

Unfortunately there will always be discrimination in the world.
Neither of the two people you mention are good candidates for president/vice president in my opinion. They want to give amnesty and more freebies to the criminal illegal aliens in this country, well beyond what any legal, taxpaying citizen is able to receive.
For either of these two to be elected, it would be the end of this country's prosperity as we now know it. We will become even more of a cesspool than it has become since we have been invaded by the criminal illegal aliens.

Obama politically can no longer pick Hillary as his working mate, as that would counter his message of 'exchange we are able to have faith in'. Hillary Clinton is fatally linked with the previous sort of politics through her connection with invoice. If Obama chosen Hillary as working mate, he could have not got any probability of transforming into it to the oval workplace. i think of he will pick Edwards or somebody else besides Clinton.

Not at all. Discrimination is a product of ignorance. You would have to first cure ignorance by educating all the close-minded individuals before you can completely overcome discrimination. Is it possible, maybe. Will that ever happen, I doubt it.

No, and it just might make it worse, those 2 are going to do a piss-poor job if either of them get elected. That's not going to change the mind of any sexist or racist people.

Nope.
Probably would get much worse.

Nope, it would just add race/gender issues to already over-partisaned (I made up a word!) politics. More of a problem than a solution, really.

I'd go to Canada.
Their policies on the issues frighten me.

Nope. I think having those two people would counter any progress we've made toward bettering race and gender relations. You can't legislate tolerance.
