People will drink light beers, light years away from earth.

No, but there is probably some *other* kind of being, light years away, drinking a lite beer, and looking in our direction, wondering if there are beings out here drinking lite beer. To him I hold my can up to the stars and yell a robust , "Yeah, man!"

No. I think we are stuck on earth. And in substantially less than a million years from now humanity will have ceased to exist and in a hundred million years or so life itself will be dying out. I don't see a lot of future for light beer. Not that I care much for light beer. Its anemic. The death of the last Merlot grape: THAT will be a cosmic tragedy!

Maybe, but I bet light beer falls out of fashion before we develop interstellar travel.
