You mean like promising not to get involved in nation building in 2000? or to be a uniter not a divider? or to fix Social Security?

Judging by the success of the interchangeable Democrats and Republicans, I'd say nothing will happen to them- they'll both continue to flourish, to the detriment of... well, pretty much everything that matters (schools, the environment, health care, social security, standard of living, foreign relations, etc.)

it seem to work well for the democrats....people have a short attention span and forget that they voted for someone because they promised gov't entitlements
