Depends on where you're located at... sometimes you don't have a choice.
I prefer cable - couple it with a modem for the computers. (Most companies offer internet service with their cable-tv stuff)

Cable. We had satellite and you could always tell when it was gonna rain or if it was really cloudy outside because the TV channels were awful. Haven't had any problems with cable now that we have comcast.

satellite because there's lots to choose from and yes there would be a lot that you wouldn't watch but some channels are available to satellite and are not available to cable.

It totally depends on the quality of your local cable company. I personally got rid of my cable for sat TV. However I have a house on the top of a hill with no trees to the south. If you have limited southern exposure stick with cable if its a decent company. If you have no southern exposure stick with cable anyway. However If you have a wide open southern sky then I say sat TV. Biggest negitive for me besides the weather interference is the lack of on-demand. But a DVR makes it worth while for me.

satellite it may go out once in awhile but I have cable now and it sucks lemons it is always going out and the cable co. blames my tv but my tv is brand new

Cable...haha, but our cable here in Fl. used to go out everytime we got a real toad strangler...it has since gotten much better.
