Why would they subject themself to that type of embarassment? Doesen't anyone understand how A.Rod works??? He want's a championship ring more then anything. If he want's a ring he should go to the Redsox or the Mets.

If the yankee's didn't offer him anything he'd have to go to a team that won't make the world series... if everyone boycotted arod then he would be forced to play wherever the LOWEST HIGH bidder would take him.

Not worth the $1.25 i gotta spend on a slushee with a picture of his ugly mug on the side of it.

The Yankees would pay A-Rod 275 mill over 10 yrs because he is currently and when it is all said in done the best ball player ever. How is an embarassment to give the best player the most money. I know how arod works he goes every night and gives his all to help his team win. For one thing the Redsox wouldnt fork out the arod money. Second the last time I looked the Mets did even make the postseason let alone get to a world series. You cant boycott something like that and arod wouldnt never go to a horrible team because he is a oroven winner.

They pay that much because they can. The Yankees are the richest team in baseball and have no problem showing that. A-Rod is the best player in the baseball right now. I'm not saying that $275 million is justified, but he he should be paid the highest. I personally think that the Yankees should use the $275 million fill all the rest of their holes. The holes that haven't gotten them a World Series ring in seven or so years. However, in all likelihood resigning A-Rod is the right thing to do because he is a constant producer. Sure right now he's unproductive in October, but to say that won't change in the next two years, let alone ten, is quite a wild claim. The bottom line is that it's always good to have A-Rod. I just wish he'd go to the Giants.

While i personally do not belong to the A-Rod fan club and I think that no contract that is longer than 3 -years should ever be given to something as physically fragile as a pro athlete is ; I do understand their math .
Essentially what the Yankees' are betting on is that if they added up the salaries of all the players who would play in A-Rod's place for the next ten years that the cost of those salaries would exceed 275 million dollars

He wants a ring so go to the Mets? Thats a joke? A team that loses its division to the Phillies in the last 17 games in a season while the Phills were 7 games back? THAT Mets?

The Yankees could win a WS this year. And im not just saying that. Fine, say they suck and call them nicknames. But their still my 26 WS Yankees.

The reason they are geting A-Rod back is because they dont have any plans on winning number 27 within the next 10 years. Everyone knows that he is a choke artist in the playoffs and usually brings the whole team down in october baseball.

because they don't understand how to stick to their words they said if he opts out of his contract he's done with the yankees but they have nobody to pick from for the position so they take him back an he wants alot of money for his research on performance drugs that bypass the tests because they don't work even if he thinks they do because he's an idiot.
