there is corruption at all levels. Look at the amount of drugs that come into this country and into your own city and how often do you here of the high level dealers getting busted? hardly ever . maybe once a year.

Where there is power, there is temptation. I believe a healthy suspicion of people who are drawn to power is an important control on our government.

I don't believe it's at all fair to accuse a person of corruption just because he or she happens to occupy a responsible position and we happen to disagree with them. But being ready to suspect that, in general terms, not everyone in public service is honest is only showing a grasp of the realities.

A lot of public servants are honest. Some of them can only be kept honest by keeping an eye on them.

Of course, some of the people making accusations are also dishonest and attempting their own distortions for political purposes. You can pretty much count on that to continue.
