There are illegal devices that do this but in the end it would probably draw more attention to you anyways. If they see you they can still guage if you are going too fast. Get a good radar detector so you can just slow down when a cop is around.

You can't "block" a radar. What you can do is buy a radar detector that has a special circuit in it. It spoofs the sending radar unit by sending back conflicting signals. If your going say 70, the device sends out signals to the cop that say you are going 40, no 80, no 60, no 70. The result is that the Radar gun can't get a good lock, and it shows no signal.

The cop may still pull you over, but he won't have a good speed to charge you with.

Yes. Hide your car in an old mine shaft, or at the bottom of the river, and the radar gun will not be able to detect you. Stay in your car as well. That way nobody will even suspect you are invisible to them.

Radar Yes, Laser no

I have a radar detector that I converted to a jammer. Been tested and it works. They can still get a lock on me, but they have to be much closer. By this time, my radar detector has alerted me.

And no, I won't give you the plans.

Not that I know of but I do know that it is almost impossible for them to get a reading on a corvette especially the older ones like 70's 80's and early 90's. Has to do with the engine block being so dense that the radar does not bounce back.

No there was a show that tested this and you can't. you can by detectors to help you know if they are around but they are not 100%. if you want to go fast you should just pay the entry fee at a track some tracks even have free days going fast on public roads just have to many unknowns of what other people might do or just the condition of the road around the next turn

I dont think you can. And NO it is not illegal to have a radar detector in MOST states. You can easily check online to see if your state has any laws against it.

It seems to me that with all our technology there should be some device that can block the waves of the gun.

not unless you put something in front of it. it works by shooting 2 beams of light at your car that bounces back and tells how fast you are going.
what you could do though is coat your car in some sort of paint that absorbs all light and reflects nothing. not only could you evade the cops but you would effectivly be invisible! your car would be a big black hole of nothingness that only you could see out of. how cool would that be!?
