Can't they just leave them at home? I don't bring my hamster roadtripping with me.

OMG! You have no idea! I was at my friends daughters birthday party when her friend brings in her little rat dog. Of course it looks like a puppy because its so small and shaking and pissing everywhere. But a few of the kids wanted to pat it but she tells them all to back away because "she doesn't like children and she will bite!" WTF! You bring a dog who doesn't like children to a 3 year olds B-day party and expect children to not want to touch it?! Stupid, Stupid, people!
Now if you wanted to take it to the bar that's another thing because they do make great drinkin' buddy's;) LOL

Because my dog enjoys riding in the car, he is a member of my family, and it is easier to bring him with me than to find someone I trust enough to take care of him.

To some of us, you are saying : Why do people insist on bringing their kid with them everywhere they go?

Anyway, what do you care where I bring my dog? He doesn't bother anyone; he isn't vicious unless I need him to be; I pick up after him.

Not to mention, if I am driving late at night - and it is only me and my dog - I feel safer having him around if we have to stop at a rest stop, or if the car were to break down. If anyone were to come after me, he would take them down.

Because they love them. Why do people insist on taking their bratty children with them everywhere they go? There are few things worse than irritating children in the restaraunt while you are trying to have a nice meal or in the theater when you are trying to watch a movie. I would MUCH prefer people take their dogs into those places than ill-behaved children.

because sometimes its hard to look at thos big droopy puppy eyes and leave them behind. Dogs need love and care and company. If there is ever any errand that I have to run that will permit me to bring my puppy, of course I will bring him.

its very different than a hamster
hamsters can't be trained.

LOL. sometimes people get really attached to their dogs, like they're their kids or something. I hate it when people bring those nippy little yappy dogs with them and you go to pet them and they snap at you and the person doesn't even do anything or apologize. That happened to me the other day.

Hahaha, I've noticed that to. But I do like to bring my dog some places. Though alot of people do it to attract attention, like because everyone stops to look at the puppy in their car.

Because dogs are pack animals and LOVE to be included. My dogs always have better days when they've had outings :)

I have 2 Big Labs though, so I don't go bringing them in the stores or anything.

My husband and I brought our hamster road tripping with us across the country! She was an excellent little traveler. They're our little buddies. Dogs like to get out and socialize.

If you were a dog owner you would understand. Having a dog is not like having a hamster. A dog is a companion!! They are like your best friend. I take my dog with me because I love having by my side, and he loves going with me places. Its just a lot of fun!!
