I deal with alot of Honda motorcycles and ATV--and even some of the associate that have been here longer (say 20 years) don't even know the meaning of "VTX" or "VT"750 "DCA" (VT750DCA) Shadow Spirit. Is there a website I can get the meanings of these acronyms dealing with all types of Honda Motorcycles and ATV's? I tried Honda themselves but have yet to gain a response..

As someone else stated, the VT or VTX is just their way of designating the model. It may or may not actually have a meaning to Honda other than that. The "DCA" in your example would just further describe the model - each letter would have a meaning to them as to what type of options or specifications that specific model has on it.

I have a Shadow VLX Deluxe. It's model is VT600CD. The "VT" would designate it as a Shadow, the 600 is the engine cc's, and the "D" would be for Deluxe. The regular Shadow VLX is VT600C. I don't know what the "C" would mean to Honda.

Acctually it doesn't mean anything. It's just a model designation.
And even though guardrail is known for good answers VT does not designate vertical twin(side by side twin) since the bike uses a V-twin(any angled twin).

Honda just use VTX relating to model of their line up.

eg ..cbr - supersport bike.

Honda uses VT to designate the engine design.
Vertical Twin
X could mean whatever you want it to.
Honda probably threw that in there to identify it as their top of the line V-Twin
X as in eXtreme, or eXtrodinary.
