Because a person has a reputation of being very good in his field, doesn't mean he is right politically. Liberals want everything for everybody. WE, ON THE RIGHT SAY THAT ONE SHOULD EARN HIS WAY. We don't respect leeches,or grabbers, or coat tail hangers on, or bums,or those who don't contribute to society, or those who won't learn english or be assimilated into true American society. If that is right wing , so be it. Redford? Who cares!!

I don't hate him. But I pay to be entertained. Not to be preached to by some one who thinks he knows more because he makes movies and treats opinion as facts.

Directors direct
Singers sing
If he wants to get in to politics the jump off the Hollywood high horse and go in to politics. But he should quit acting like his opinion is more important than mine because he can make movies and can use his fame to get soundbites.

Because of his hypocrisy. He goes and builds his kingdom of cabins in the forrest, and condemns everyone else who wants to raise a tent in the forrest. His views are extremely opposite to those of people on the right, so of course there's no love there.

I don't hate him as a person, I hate his movies, there is a big difference. I don't know him as a person, and I'm guessing neither do you.
