I have a 92 osmoblie cutlas serria having two problems w/costs. (1) Harmonic Balancer (sits inside the larger pully the belts goes around, big and near bottom) needs to be replaced. (2) cattlier converter told it needs to be rewelded. went a few places but all claim cost 250-400 for labor and parts each.

Stop in at the local coffee shop and ask that group of older gentlemen setting around the table together - they know who the most honest mechanic in town is.
