It's also a genre of music like punk.
Or a style, which looks kinda like scene.
But scene kids are like "Oh no we're not,
emo, blah blah". But they do look alike.

EMO stands for emotional. its suppose to describe an emotional punk type person or a goth type person.
it is also a term used to describe sad, slow, and dark emotional music. sang by guys the look like this: guys that were skinny jean, tight fitting shirts, use pomade in their hair and wouldn't mind a girl painting their fingernails or wearing eye make-up.

EMO....short for Emotional....Emo Kids kinda dress like goths and generally have the attitude that the world is out to get them. They are social outcasts and often depressed.

it's a stereotype label influenced by the music genre 'emo'. it stands for emotional.
there a lot of meanings, people may use it as an adjective or a noun. when it's a noun you're calling someone 'a emo' , apparently you're saying that person is emotional, suicidal, depressed, dark. you may as well go to www.urbandictionary.com and search up emo, they have a lot of definitions for it! =D â¥
