Ok, I just saw this article on Yahoo saying in Sydney Australia they are now making Santa's say "Ha, Ha, Ha" instead of "Ho, Ho, Ho", because it is offensive to women. I'm a woman and I see nothing wrong with this! Is there really someone out there that is bother by a Santa saying Ho Ho Ho? If so, why? The phrase is not intended to make fun of women.

I guess it only bothers the ho's. I have never been bothered by it, but again, I'm not a ho.

the same goes with that other word describing a female dog, that wasn't meant for that either but it does. They should also ban the game horse so kids won't call out "ho" when playing it. How do they make Santa say that ha instead of ho anyway, pass a law? Do they have any free speech rights over there in Australia?

"ho" is slang for "whore" is some communities. But no, Santa has been saying "ho ho ho" (always as a triplet) for centuries, and has absolute rights to the phrase, so someone is just attempting to do a joke, in bad taste I might mention. It's possible they have now entered the "Bad" list kept at the North Pole.

I'm missing something here--why is "Ho Ho Ho" offensive to Women? It's political correctness gone even dafter--the people who obey rules that nobody has the right to make in the first place must be bloody stupid, 'Cobber'. I bet you that now the Santa's of the world will be "Ho Ho Hoing" louder than ever, and jolly good luck to em!

you've got to be kidding me. Santa has said Ho Ho Ho for a hundred years! It's not meant to be like in a "ho" some people just carry things too far.

It has never bother me and never will because, unlike the women who are causing the problem, I have a life!
How far are these ignorant feminists going to take it? I mean, if your self-esteem is so low that you think Santa Claus is putting you down when he says "ho, Ho, Ho" go shoot yourself and put us all out of your misery!

The world is just too politically correct. I think that we have to get over the fact that we might offend some one once in a while. HO HO HO & A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

I find nothing wrong with Santa saying Ho,Ho,Ho. It's stupid to change it to Ha, Ha, Ha. Every girl I ask finds nothing wrong or offensive about it. People can be so paranoid.

This is because some whiny, overly sensitive, crybaby liberal was offended by it and decided that it was time to make a change to a "politically correct" laughter. I'm sure sometime down the road, they'll even try to eliminate the laughing all together because there are still people who are suffering during the holidays.
Sheesh!! Some liberals really need to get a life!
