Horoscopes & Star signs = Truth?

Question

Are star signs correct in terms of identifying a persons characteristics? And are horoscopes truthful? Do they really tell the truth? Let me know what you think.

Yes, I do believe there is some truth to astrology and individual star signs. My sun sign is Virgo, and after reading more into my sun sign, I couldn't believe how accurate it was as far as my traits go, and others signs to which I am compatible with.

Your sun sign isn't the only major factor in identifying ones characteristics though, it depends more on your birth natal chart. For instance, besides your sun sign, there are also moon signs, rising signs, houses, etc., etc. It is a very complex practice. The reason why some may not believe their sun sign accurately describes them is because one of their other signs, i.e. moon, rising, etc. may be more prominent in them than their actual sun sign. It's pretty amazing when you dwelve into the depths of astrology. Some may say that it is just wish-wash and the act of the devil, but that's definetetly not true.

I personally do not believe anybody should live or base their life on astrology, but who says there is wrong in reading or learning more about your signs. Half the time, when your read something about the characteristics of your signs, it's something you already knew anyways, just explained more thoroughly.

As far as horoscopes go, I do not necessarily believe that the horoscopes in the magazines or newspapers are accurate. There is no way one horoscope for one month could give an accurate description of what all the sun signs born on the date are feeling. People are born at different times, and in different places, which altogether give them different characteristics than another who is born on the same date as them.

Astrology is a very interesting and in-depth practice and the more you learn about it, the more you realize it does hold truth.

It's really quite easy to determine. Choose a date. Goto several different asstrologers and ask questions about someone born on this date. make sure you ask the same questions of each asstrologer. Notice that you won't get the same answer from anyone. There are also several multimillion dollar prizes offered for anyone that can make accurate predictions with asstrology. The prizes have never been claimed. Why do you suppose that is? The asstrological community could lay a good many of these kinds of criticisms to rest by simply going and collecting the prizes. Why don't they? If you had the opportunity to become rich beyond the dreams of Avarice would you do it? Why won't these people? Intellectual honesty?! LOL!!

I believe the characteristics of each star sign is specific and accurate.
It depends on nature versus nurture as well, because you may have a particular characteristic, but hide it or depress it as you have learnt through experience that your trait may annoy others or work against you. Other times, you use your traits to gain advantages in work, love and family as long as no-one gets hurt/upset.

For example, Aries are independent, instinctive, dominating, aggressive and natural leaders. However, they may choose to abuse their traits or use them to help others.

As for daily horoscopes you read in newspapers, magazines or on the internet, they are very generalised and can be accurate or inaccurate. As they are too broad, most people feel the horoscopes are wrong as it doesn't seem to apply to their lifestyle or reflect their current situations.

So, I believe in the characteristics of each star sign which enables individuals to live the life they lead.
I don't believe in the daily horoscopes, which are general overviews you see all the time - I read one which said "Gemini: you will suffer a breakdown." That is nonsense because Gemini are the most optimistic, always on the go and easily excitable star sign so they seldom suffer breakdowns. I know myself better than others know me, most of the time.

If you were to think of your Sun sign as your soul -- your inner personality and potential -- and your Moon sign as your heart -- your emotional core -- then you could say that your Rising or Ascendant sign is your physical self or the mask you present to the world.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it.

Believe nothing just because someone else believes it.
Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true

Horoscopes are not real, they're just made up for fun. Astrology is actually in the bible, and is more than accurate.

If you meant all the planets and asteroids and luminaries in those signs, my answer would be yes.

well for horoscopes yea sometimes they are correct according of what they say .....but i dont really think that you should identify a persons's characteristics by their star signs....cuz everyone is different,i mean you cant say sign ________ are loyal......cuz it can t be that all the persons under that sign are all loyal,its impossible...you understood wat i said??: /
