Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

There are a couple of ways for you to get to myspace while it is being blocked. You can use a multitude of proxy servers, but the drawbacks of this are that sometimes not all of the functions of myspace are available on proxies. For example, proxies cannot display javascript, a fancy word for fancy things on some websites. One of these websites is YouTube. So if you use a proxy you won't be able to watch YouTube videos. Getting back to the mater at hand, it is possible to go on myspace. Another way is to install a different browser onto your computer. Some blocking companies only block things to certain browsers, like the most common ones, Mozilla Firefox, IE, Netscape, Opera, etc. The way I get around blocking is with a circumventor. That's a fancy proxy server. If your a little more computer literate(or good at following directions) then you could install a proxy that is impossible to block. That is because some proxy servers are blocked completely by the blockers, while others aren't, the companies block whatever they choose. Here's the link to how to install the circumventor and if you sign up here then they will e-mail you proxy sites periodically. peacefire.org. Not sure if this link will work but i tried, its my first time answering on Yahoo!. Anyways, hoped this helped.

You don't!!! It is obvious that the administration has put filters and firewalls so that you wont go on MySpace and I'm sure a lot of other sites that are not related to school matters.

Besides you shouldn't be on MySpace in school!!

if u seriously can't wait 8 hours until school's out to check your myspace than you have a problem. it's called myspace addiction.

besides, all of your friends should be at school too, you can talk to them there, why would u need to get on myspace?

you wait until you go home to waste your time. there is a reason the school is blocking it. Why would you risk getting expelled for breaking the rules for myspace?

Concentrate on school when you're in school, and if you must go on MySpace, wait till you get home. What's so important that you NEED to go on there right away? All your friends are in school, and if they're not, they know you are. It's not an emergency, kid.

if it's not right don't do it! don't do it, you don't get in trouble. it's your choice, you want to go to jail, or stay put where you are? it's really not that bad without it. I mean, sure, you don't make any friends at your myspace, but really, is it so bad?

DONT USE A PROXY!

You can go to jail if you do that.

Just today a girl in my class was arrested because she was using a proxy to get onto myspace in my class.

It is illegal because schools are required by law to cache everything you view on the internet. It cannot cache the webpages you go to using a proxy server and that can get them in trouble, potientially getting you in trouble.

So: DONT TRY IT!
