can you convert usb1 too usb2 on a laptop???

No. That's like asking for an adapter that turns an Inline 4 engine into a V8 engine (turbo/superchargers doesn't count).

The only way to get USB2 on a PC that doesn't support it it by buying a USB2 PCMCIA card. I can't think of any other way unless there is a firewire port on your machine, then you may be able to buy a firewire USB2 adapter. Hope that helps

No but you can buy a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card for it instead.
