I completely agree with Tim D.

Aside from having your Ray Bans behind your face shield; in the event of a collision or just going down, you want to have eye protection that is listed as "Shatter Proof".

Picture the ugly part of this; small glass shards in your eye(s) that a Dr. can't even see to try to remove them.

There are a lot of choices out there for tinted eye ware.

Ray Ban Motorcycle Glasses

I have always been a fan of Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Even back when they were the most expensive available.
Great glasses.
But, I won't wear them to ride.

I would suggest you buy her sunglasses, but also get her something protective specifically for riding. Plain old safety glasses work. There are so many kinds of tinted safety glasses that will work better.

None of the ray bans work well for riders.

The best glasses to buy are from the Yamaha dealer, that have foam around them to keep the bugs out of her eyes.
They don't cost as much, but are more effective for riding.

From a practical point of view straight rather than curved arms are much better to put on under a helmet. From a safety point of view if there is no visor you might want to consider ballistic protection glasses as a stray stone flicked up by a car or van could shatter normal glasses with horrid consequences.

These are what I wear:

They have ballistic lenses, so rocks aren't a problem, the foam eyecups snap in/out, so they can be used as goggles (the temple pieces snap out, and are replaced by an elastic headstrap), or sunglasses

Probably the brown tortoise shell looking ones, BUT specify you want the gray G15 lenses, if they are prescription, if not the brown is fine too
