A girl I know is now 4 1/2 months pregnant and she used to be one of my best friends last year but now I really don't like her. i found out I am also pregnant but only 6 weeks. I just found out she will be finding out the sex of her baby on Nov. 20th. She picked out a girl's name and two boys' names. I won't know what I am having for a little while still. This brings me to the problem. One of the boys' names that she picked is the main boys name on my list. What should I do if we would both have boys? She may pick that name and I want it and we can't have the same names. I know I don't have much control since she will be finding out before me but anyone have ideas or maybe a different boys name than Landon that would be cute and unpopular and sounds good with the middle name Marcos?

I realize I am not in high school but the thing about it is that I may talk to her and I don't want her to think that I just copied her names. She posts them online where everyone can see.

If I were you I would leave the name on my list for now. She may be finding out before you, but it is possible that if she does have a boy, she may pick the other boy name she liked instead. Or she may change her mind on the names completely. You will have 3 months after her baby is born (and name finalized) to decide on your baby's name.

Well, she's not family or even a good friend from the sounds of it. Had you ever mentioned liking that name before? Maybe it won't matter and one of you will have a girl! I would pick whatever name you want for a boy regardless of what she picks... if she wants to think you copied her oh well! Congrats on the pregnancy, hope all goes well!

im going through a similar problem trying to pick a name for my baby. im due next month but for the past 3 years there has been a baby boom every year in my family on my side and on my bfs side. and i've had a baby each year too. so trying to find a name thats not close to any of the millions of babies just born is soooo difficult. im on www.babynamesworld.com trying to find names. i understand where your coming from. good luck!!!

i like Teagan Marcos. Landon has become to popular by the time your son went to school their will be at least 3 landons in his class if not more.

Even though you should be able to use whichever name you like best.....you also have to feel comfortable about the decision. If you think it may be uncomfortable for you, with her possibly thinking that her baby's name is the reason you chose it....find another one that you like.

your not in high school anymore when that child goes to school I guarantee other kids will have a name similar to your child's I f you want to name your child Landon than name him Landon it really shouldn't matter stop stressing and just enjoy your pregnancy. good luck
