Chinese defense minister:
"Seen from the changes in the world situation and the United States' hegemonic strategy for creating monopolarity, war is inevitable," Mr. Chi told a military conference in early December.
"We cannot avoid it," he was quoted in the newspaper as saying. "The issue is that the Chinese armed forces must control the initiative in this war. . . . We must be prepared to fight for one yehttp://www.rense.com/politics6/warwithchina_p.htmar, two years, three years or even longer."
Ok, say they very well know that a war with the United States will not last long ..and it will not be favorable on their side. Reason why he said "they must control the initiative in the war."
This brings my question in. Have the chicoms started this war?
They send poisonous toys to the united states to kill our children. They send fake tires so we can have more accidents. Reason for this? Reduce their infant and adult at the same time so no one can join the millitary. Are we sleeping?

Pip, our votes do not affect their ambitions. China is trying to become the new global superpower. They are actively infiltrating our technology to be able to shut us down when the time comes. They are making deals with our oil suppliers to ensure they can choke us off when the time comes.

They are starting this conflict and they mean to win it.

I will never hire a Chinese national who would have access to sensitive information.

The war in Iraq gives the Chinese an impression that it would not be much to take on the US. The US is all bark and no bite.

I don't believe war with China is inevitable, China a patient nation, and over time they will take over economically (this is inevitable). The US is a microwave society which is impatient. If war starts it's really up to the US.

Somewhere in my files is a very small news report. It tells of an accord between Russia and China to never let western influence enter their countries, This was done after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the supposed fall of communism. Then they achieved favored nation status which I thought was disgusting. And now the world seems to be ok with the Olympics being there. I don't understand that at all.
A while back there was a sci-fi series called Firefly. Very good but was canceled. It's content was about the worlds after China and The United States came to blows. I have always thought China would be a problem.

You never slap the hand that feeds you... Where do you think they are getting all of their money? Maybe their exports to Chile? Yeah right.

Wars between Super Powers will be and is mostly economic... Thats how we beat the USSR.

Although Iran, Russia and China have an agreement like we have with the NATO nations. So when Bush bombs Iran for no good reason Russia and China will come to their Aid...

So maybe

War with China is not inevitable... all we have to do is vote better in the future.

You come across as paranoid with the "have they already started this war" part, to be honest.

Speakeasy.. you do know we have a battle strategy worked out (several actually) for every nation on Earth.. why wouldn't other nations do the same.. hell, we even have one for Britain.. does that mean we are going to attack them?

Our relations with China are improving and will continue to if we seek that avenue.

China can buy and sell the US, they don't need to fight it. If there is war, it won't last long for either side, and all the rest of us.

If they did start though, first stage probably involves making crappy toys wearing toxic plastic coats.

china doesn't have the navy to attack us, it would take them either joining the terrorist and fighting against us in the middle east (like they did in Vietnam and Korea), invading a neighboring country or launching a nuke to start a true war with us,

they have the strength of numbers, but we beat then in technology and battle hardened troops, and a million mad infantry wont mean squat against a few hundred daisy cutter bombs,

i don't think china is that dumb

China go to war with us?

Won't happen in YOUR lifetime.

We're their best customer - we are their market.

It'd be like Walmart attacking the Southern United States lower middle class...

You're overreacting, their defense minister said those things in order to rally support to build up their military, the US does the exact same thing. Our military dwarfs the size of theirs, so it doesn't surprise me that they would want to protect themselves, just like we did trying to protect ourselves from the Soviets.

They figured out that you don't have to bomb America to rule it. They simply allow Americans to become so indebted that they can't brush their teeth without permission from China.
