Do the pelvic bones or muscles move?

My boyfriend's sister is going to school to be a nurse, and she said that the bones don't move. So i needed to set the record straight. :]

Yes - the bones start to loosen up in the pelvis (and all over). They kind of "un-hook", so to speak, to give the baby room to come out. That's why many pregnant women often drop things because their joints loosen up. Congrats!

As you get closer to your due date, your pelvic area will somewhat expand to accommodate the birth of your baby.

Yes, they do. In fact I am going through some discomfort from mine...but hey in 5 more months it will be worth it!

ur stomach expands if u r pregnant and it will get big over the weeks and in 2 months you can tell and if u eat alot food u can tell if u go to the bathroom ever 5 minute u r

and they may never move back....mine haven't after 15 1/2 months

Go vist your GYN/OB doctor since every woman experience pregnancy differently.

they don't exactly move but they stretch and expand. you will feel some discomfort but it is not going to be unbearable.
