Shouldn't they just let us have fun instead of worrying about levels?

So they could make us stay on here.
Like, say, If I was on level three, I might want to try to reach level four. And once I reach level four, I try to go to five. And by the time you reach seven, you're already addicted.
In other words, so they can brainwash you!

I think they do it because it gives u a sense of purpose- a challenge ya know? I know i couldnt wait to get to level 6 so I would be able to answer as many questions as I wanted. I hated it when I was limited on how many I could ask and answer ya know? Now if Im in the mood I can do it all day long- or just not for a week or two!!!! Its just giving us goals to reach I think

I think it's because they know how competitive a lot of people are, and how some people need to feel they have more " status ' than others. And, it's incentive to stay on here. Personally, I just enjoy the interaction with people on things of interest. People interest me more than the points & levels.

They have levels so some people will just keep answering questions until they're a high level then some people.

No one has any fun but except P&S and Yahooey even tries to Troll US to death. They want us to write a Yahoopedia for free or we can feel free to leave. The Forum calls this The Hell That Is P&S and I read that with my own eyes. The truth hurts.

It will be better if there were no levels because there would be no competition backstabbing and we could have more fun .

because they know that it's human nature to want to compete!and get points and badges and whatever!
the question is,"would anybody really care about levels and points if we didn't get any?"
apart from the younger users,i don't think the rest of us would really care!

It's the carrot they like to dangle in front of us, encouraging us to answer more and more questions in an attempt to achieve some completely bogus goal.
