axium called my brother in law, and asked if my stepdad had worked with him, if he had been drug test and if he would ever hire my step dad again. why are they calling and asking, who are they?

he did not apply for a job he works for the movie industry,were working on k-ville, my brother N law hired him so he is not a refrence

I believe it s Axiom Corporation, and they are a telecom.
He obviously applied for a job, and put him down as a reference.

From the questions, it appears that your step-dad listed your brother-in-law as a reference on a job application.
Axium, by the way, is a company that does payroll, accounting and HR services for other companies (Mostly in the movie business) so your stepdad may have applied for a job with Axium themselves, or with one of the companies that Axium does that stuff for.
