How is this clown still making movies? I just don't get it! Does he still have the braids and funky coats? Maybe he produces his own movies, who else would hire him? Perhaps he's like 'The Hoff', and has gained popularity only in asian countries.......
Ha! Don't even get me started on The Hoff!!!

Edit: Totally agree Purr Girl. Except, there is something mildly dirty/sexy about Mickey Rourke!

I always considered him a phony. The guy has no muscle mass to speak of. When do you ever see him with his shirt off? He might have some training, but that's negligible. Wasn't there some controversy a few years back as to what belts he actually held?
He reminds of a middle aged beer drinking dude you'd see at the local pool hall hustling the tables, that happens to have a side job as an actor!
I'd say he's one step below that ballet dancer turned "martial artist" named Jean Claude Van Damme!
I think he still might be considered "that tall hot white guy with the ponytail" in some foreign countries. Personally I'd like to see Jet Li grab him by that pony tail and 'hammer throw' him into the dumpster where he belongs!

Do you also believe Seagal started his own dojo and did not inherit it from a Japanese family he then later divorced to marry, or rather not marry, someone in Hollywood? The point is, this stuff is already in the public domain. The divorce papers and family lineages are already there, irregardless of what you choose to believe. Just like some Senators and their cars being driven into lakes with female passengers, everyone can be aware of it, even if many choose to disregard its significance. Seagal's problem is his personality and inability to control himself, and his lack of character plus spine. Thus his abilities as a martial artist or just a person, will never exceed a certain threshold because of it. That's not a problem that's going to be fixed by some "money" redemption. (cheap grace)

An important thing to consider on how he's still making movies - if you look at his official website in the filmography section,
http://www.stevenseagal.com/actor_filmography.html
you'll see that for most of his movies in the last several years, he not only stars in the movies, he produces them (and therefore is making plenty of money straight from the box office, versus getting a salary.) As the producer, he's also got much more control over his career, since he's deciding how he puts himself out there.
From what I can see of him he doesn't have braids, but still has the pony tail. As far as his popularity, I'm sure he's built up enough of a following over his 20 years as an actor to have a loyal fan base, enough to keep his gainfully employed at the box office.

Ugh, THAT greasy nobody? To me he's on the grossness par with Mickey Rourke. (WHAT in God's name happened to HIM? He used to be so handsome.) Oh, I know what you mean, don't get me started on The Hoff! (Well, The Germans seem to love him anyway supposedly so maybe he should go there, ha.)

his first few movies were really good. He is also the most accomplished martial artist in the movie business. But as a person, from what i hear he is an *** hole.
