I would bring the boy down the tree, take him to the hospital for a tetanus check and bandaging, scold him for not listening to mama running around facing wolves and finally take him into my arms, kiss him, caress him and tell him how much I love him and that I will always believe him from now on....

You assume he's learnt his lesson and trust him on that. If he gets bitten again then pointedly tell him that he should have learn from his lesson and give him another chance. If he gets bitten again, give him no sympathy because it's his own bleeding fault.
