Sometimes even the most comfortable of us is stricken by the explorer's instinct and feel compelled to venture beyond our comfort zone. The chicken did appreciate the side of the road he was on, and didn't cross because of a belief things were better over there, but to enlighten all on the far side as to the joys of his side. Because the chicken has a little brain. Chickens really are stupid, but I see more squirrels and deer getting in the road. The chickens usually just stay in the barnyard.
