A recent FDA report on hunger in the USA said 35 million americans went hungry in 2006. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071114/ts_nm/usa_food_hunger_dc
This is a horrible statistic and what about illegal immigrants; are they counted in here? If so what is their percent contribution? Please give sources.

According to the Pew Hispanic Center there are from 11.5 to 12 Million undocumented immigrants (mostly hispanic) in the USA (2006). Of the hispanic ones 25.8% live in poverty according to the Center For Immigration Studies. I have no info. yet on whether aliens are counted in USDA reports on hunger in the USA.
