I'll go with the Rolling Stones. I can't stand them. They should have quit 35 years ago. They made crappy music and they caused the break up of a band many times greater than them (The Verve)

Definitely "The Rolling Stones." Jagger never could sing, that is, in the traditional sense of singing, whereas, you have to at least carry a tune.
His band........very average to poor musicians. If they hadn't jumped on the "British Invasion bandwagon" when they did + perform a couple of controversial tunes.......they would have ended up being the answer to a trivia question.
Finally.....someone else has seen through the marketing scam !!

Although I'm not exactly a stones fan ,they do have some good songs. I'd say Nirvana was really overrated mostly because Kurt died.When he did die media bozos started comparing him to John Lennon.What???? Are you kidding???That's insane.Nirvana did not have real musical talent they just got lucky and if he hadn't died would just be a footnote in musical history.
