Most people I've talked to do not want to live when they are a burden on society. Chidlren today do not look after their parents, and only get together at holidays.
To live longer and independently you need to stay THIN, (ARE YOU LISTENING, AMERICA?) and eat sensibly. That means not being lazy, preparing your small meals, by washing the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and preparing a good salad, eating fish or chicken broiled or gently cooked in broth, steamed daily vegetables. But that seems to be too much work. However, it keeps you healthy. Daily walks, quick, at lunch break, and evening walks, help to keep the limbs supple and sleep well at night, without pills.
Take codliver oil, multivitamin daily.
But all this is this too much for oneself? It seems so.

I would love to live as long as i possibly could because i do not want my children to go through the pain of losing me until they absouletely have 2. My mother died very suddenly at age 64 on jan 29, 2006 and just 5 days later, my 2nd child was born...It was the most diffucult time in my life and i would never want someone to go through the pain like i did and still sometimes go through of missing my mother terribly

People don't necessarily want to live until they're disabled, just a long, happy life. Once things quit working so well, many feel it is time to go. But those who stay socially active, keep up their appearances, and eat well can live as long as they have the drive.

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. If you eat meat, try eating it fresh. Water is essential. A must-must. Exercise frequently. Juicing is also a great way to be healthy. Try wheatgrass. It tastes like mini-wheats without the sugar so its not bad and its very healthy. Most of all, be happy. This will prolong your long.

I try to live each in each moment, there is no point worrying about the future in such a way as it only causes undue stress, we will age regardless. As for looking after myself I tend to live in a way that causes less harm to my environment and so less harm is done in return (i.e I don't drink or eat meat and animal products).
There really is no point worrying about the future or fretting over the past as it will only cause more problems, such as worrying causing stress which causes health problems which of course affect your later life anyway.

I don't think anyone wants to end up like that you pillock, it just happens cos its nature.
Obviously if we had a choice in the matter then I'm sure the majority of us would choose to be young and healthy again in our old age.

I for one just want to live as long as I'm fit and independent,I don't want to be a burden on my family or have them hurt by watching me suffer. It hurts enough to lose someone without watching the pain they can suffer and I'm speaking from experience.
