I've met quite a few that chose that lifestyle and don't want life any other way. I just go volunteer and make their day a little easier. No I don't think that we'll half poverty especially world wide. It's hard to help people if many won't help themselves. We've created a climate of dependence in many third world countries.

Their are actually some powerful people who do want to eradicate poverty.I grew up very impoverished so I am speaking from first hand experience. You must also understand that society is based on a structure that silently promotes class division.I believe that when the various classes of people learn to be accepting of each other than the majority of our wordly problems will be alleviated. We as humans need to learn how to be tolerable of others.

For our society in the US to exist poverty must exist. Its impossible to make everything equal, but ideal! It just the way it is for us, unless there was a revolution and everything was taken from everyone and we just started over, it won't happen, certainly not by 2015.

kI think it is possible, but unlikely to happen because it would require the richer countries to aid the poorer countries in doing what is necessary to become more self sufficient. Those with money are generally not willing to give it up.
