The Koppen classification system includes a mediterranean class. If this is what you're talking about, then in addition to the actual mediterranean countries, parts of chile, south africa, and the northwest USA have mediterranean climates. There are two subsets of mediterranean zones, one with hot summers, one with warm.

Mediterranean Zone, one of the world’s main climate-vegetational zones; a warm-temperate, subtropical zone that lies on the western sides of continents between 30° and 40° degrees latitude, north and south of the equator. The distinctive features of the zone are hot, dry summers contrasting with mild, moist winters, together with evergreen forests and scrubland composed of species adapted to summer drought. The region bordering the Mediterranean Sea is the most extensive area of this zone, but four other regions have a Mediterranean climate: southern California, central Chile, south-western and southern Australia, and the Cape region of South Africa. The location of the zone on the western margins of the continents reflects the influence of rain-bearing, winter westerly winds at this latitude. The Mediterranean zone is transitional between the cool-temperate zone on its polar margins, and the arid zone on its equatorial margins.

* Mediterranean Climate (Cs) chaparral biome
This is a wet-winter, dry-summer climate. Extremely dry summers are caused by the sinking air of the subtropical highs and may last for up to five months.
Plants have adapted to the extreme difference in rainfall and temperature between winter and summer seasons. Sclerophyll plants range in formations from forests, to woodland, and scrub. Eucalyptus forests cover most of the chaparral biome in Australia.
Fires occur frequently in Mediterranean climate zones.
o Temperature Range: 7 °C (12 °F)
o Annual Precipitation: 42 cm (17 in).
o Latitude Range: 30° - 50° N and S
o Global Position: central and southern California; coastal zones bordering the Mediterranean Sea; coastal Western Australia and South Australia; Chilean coast; Cape Town region of South Africa.

From your nick i can tell that you're making like a survey Any way, so far have visited Italy, Turkey, Spain and Tunisia . The Mediterranean coast is fantastic, where ever you go. However, I liked Italy best, then Turkey. Spain is great also, especially on Costa del Sol. In Tunisia, you really need to stay in a 5* hotel.

There can be ONLY one Mediterranean! The Mediterranean is in ONE place in the world. Thus you can ONLY speak to ONE thing in your little ol' essay, dear girl. :D
I would suggest you go to the globe in your classroom (or the wall map) and acquaint yourself with the Mediterranean Sea and peruse the coastlines. I do think you will be quite surprised at the variety you will find. Pick a spot, then Google or Wiki it!
